We checked in at Wharf Road in the morning, 08:50, and took a pleasant bus ride to Heybridge. It did seem an alarmingly long way, though.
Skylarks hovering high above the fields would have spotted a new, turquoise stream running parallel to the Chelmer and Blackwater navigation. It's two thousand Walkers for Life, enjoying the Spring sunshine and raising money for Farleigh Hospice as they make their way from Heybridge Basin to Wharf Road.
